Next generation run: wave 6, 771 shots

Written by IMAGE-BRAIN, 8 Oct 2026. File: brain/wave-6.jsonl (queue_phase -45, so it runs first). Generator: brain/gapfill.py.

What we found

1. Last night's brain waves landed: 977 of 983 shots were generated, and on review 971 are keep, 6 maybe and 0 cut. The weakness is sameness: about 75 are the same layout in a different palette (kraft bag and tag in retail, the toolbox and handshake in trades, one restaurant table).
2. The other 1,715 late arrivals, which I also reviewed by eye: 1,263 keep and 452 maybe. The big finding is that IMAGE-BANK's 30-shot industry sets (barber, dental, diner, gym, sushi, salmon, spa stones, latte and croissant…) are one subject repeated 30 times. I kept 2 per aspect and marked the rest maybe. A few have a readable phone or laptop screen, or a bucket that looks like a chicken chain's.
3. By businesses, the bank is better than it looks by industry count. 52% of no-site businesses are in an industry with its own full image sets, 44% in an industry with some, and 4% only have module and universal images. Those 1,966 "generic only" industries are mostly tiny.
4. The big holes:
   • Restaurant (29k businesses) has no bands or lifestyle images.
   • Bakery and Bubble tea (2.5k each) have only cards, with no tall heroes, bands or lifestyle shots.
   • Hospital (4.3k) has 8 images, Car dealer and Auto parts (4.6k) have 8, Real estate surveyor (5.5k) has 14, Event planner (4.4k) has 10 and Schools (5.9k) have 11.
   • 61 industries have no images of their own at all, among them Beauty supply, Optician, Tea house, Manufacturer, Piano tuning and Deli.

What wave 6 does

1. It fills every gap below to target: 3 full sets for industries with 1,000+ no-site businesses, 2 for 200+, and 1 otherwise. That covers 88 units, 29 families and 59 industries, and skips 2 industries that are unsuitable.
2. It uses fresh subjects with a different object per shot and only two palettes per unit, so no more 12 palette swaps of one picture. Each family also gets a new full set to break up the sameness.
3. Result once it lands: 99% of no-site businesses are in industries with their own full image sets, up from 52%, and 1,618 industries are covered, up from 1,489.
4. After that, review it with the same two-vote method, then give the top 30 industries more hero variety with tall heroes.

Gaps, biggest no-site pool first (90 units, 725 shots to reach target)
